My Business Experience
Before I learned about UX Design in 2021, I worked on projects integrating UX design principles without realizing it! My credo is, to design solutions that are clear to users, inclusive and accessible. I also love finding ways to optimize people's time and resources (i.e., doing more with less) and increasing buy-in and trust. I have succeeded by reducing duplication; organizing workflows; and ensuring alignment to business goals.
As the founder of Customer Discovery Pros, I regularly use and teach the Business Model Canvas and Lean Startup methodology. I have consulted with startups and early-stage companies and education organizations. I have facilitated in-person and online brainstorming; researched user pain points, needs and motivations; developed user stories and content; and recommended improvements in strategy, UX/UI and product/service adoption.

I loved working on the WikiEducator.org project (think Wikipedia for Educators). It was incubated at The Commonwealth of Learning in Vancouver, Canada and spun out to the Open Education Resources Foundation in New Zealand. My research, insights and process improvements help build a thriving community of 18,000+ educators in 120+ countries that continues to grow and inspire!
